Hello, Friends! We hope this post finds you and yours healthy and well!

2020, of course, hasn’t ended up being the year any of us expected, filled as it has been with new challenges and, for many, great losses. Still, perhaps a lesson we should all internalize and use as a springboard moving forward is to be grateful for what we do have and to not sweat the small stuff quite so much.

Like each of you, we’ve often had to carve out spaces for connection and gratitude this past year in our attempts to maintain our warm company culture while working remotely. While more effort may have been required, we’ve been fortunate to have so many team members who have made it their mission to nurture the camaraderie we’ve all grown to rely so much upon over the years.

We are so thankful for our employees as they have allowed us, through their creativity, their drive, and their dedication, to maintain connection with one another in a hundred different virtual ways. We are so thankful for each of you as well because your ongoing support and your dedication to the clients you serve renews our sense of purpose on a daily basis as we seek new ways to serve you better in support of your business goals.

A recurring weekly message from Redtail CEO Brian McLaughlin to employees this year has been to “do your job well, practice kindness and empathy toward others, love one another, and stay safe!” Hopefully that message resonates with you as well.

The video clip above is just a short bit from a Pizza Preparation Party our very own Curtis Ware Zoom-hosted for everyone at Redtail in November. It was one of those “hundred different virtual ways” we stayed connected mentioned above, ranging from shared Takeout Tuesdays to Egg/Pumpkin/Ugly Sweater Decoration Contests to Scavenger Hunts to Trivia Nights to scores of other virtual get togethers. We included the video clip because Curtis inadvertently demonstrated another message we’ve all embraced this year, which is to prioritize the things that really matter rather than overly sweating the small stuff. Or, as Curtis so succinctly states the latter: “It’ll bake off!”
